Just wanted to let you know that having our company's website and ability to check email remotely through Empiron's services has been a huge help for our business. My firm has potentially 1000+ people that need to register their own domains. I have recommended Empiron to them, and ALL of them who chose Empiron thank me profusely for the recommendation. I am developing a new site for a client, and set him the task of finding his own web hosting. I gave him a list of requirements, including a Unix/Linux server operating system. He decided Empiron.com had a package that would suit his needs. I agreed. Several weeks passed and I logged in to the server to start uploading files, and was surprised to be in the unfamiliar environment of a Windows NT server. Oops! Someone make a mistake. I asked my client to approach Empiron and see if the hosting could be moved from a Windows to a Linux server without incurring a financial penalty.
 
The following happened:

* Empiron Tech Support sent an automated acknowledgement to my client;
* Tech Support then responded in detail on the same day;
* The advice was to log-in at their site & make the necessary changes in 'My Account";
* A simple radio button and submit button enables a change in server operating systems ("ASP to CGI Hosting") that is free, and takes 24 hours to update / complete.

I am still amazed at how flexible this approach is! I thought for sure that a host would have a list of hurdles and hoops such as payment of a change fee, cancellation of account / establishment of a new account, or some other bureaucratic approach to penalizing you for being a nuisance. But the Empiron service proposition is a stand-out, and sets the standard for other hosts (and ISPs, come to think of it) in terms of putting customers first. I'm impressed!

It's amazing how one finds out the company they use is great for no other reason than it works well. I have been using Empiron to host my site for a little over a year now, and am just amazed at how easy and inexpesive it was to get started. We had to start my company on the "cheap" and Empiron was the best deal at the time. Well, I am one satisfied customer and I have been telling all my friends and workmates as well. I work in the IT industry and live in Australia. I have to register quite a few domain names for customers. The thing is we like to register the domain names and then move the DNS record to our servers. I had some trouble signing up to use Empiron yesterday so I called into your customer service center and was connected to one of your customer service representatives. I had a couple quick simple questions. In about the same amount of time I had planned on spending on hold, your representative was able to set up a large portion of the account registration for me and fully explained in detail what my different options were. I didn't have to wait long at all when I called Empiron for help, and the representative who answered the call was so personable, nice, and friendly. I was having difficulty transferring a domain from Empiron.com to a competitor. Naturally, the competitor gave me the run-around. I got in touch with Empiron, who informed me of a 60-day hold on any domain that has recently changed ownership-- something the competitor didn't catch.
